Duties
- Supervise and engage with campers during daily activities and events
- Plan, organize, and lead group games, sports, arts and crafts, and other recreational activities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times
- Assist with meal times
- Provide guidance and support to campers in resolving conflicts or issues that may arise
- Maintain a clean and organized camp environment
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting
- Experience in babysitting, sports coaching, tutoring, childcare, daycare, or similar roles
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices
- First aid certification is preferred but not required
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about working with elementary school age children in a fun and engaging environment.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be patient and understanding, and have the ability to work well in a team.
This is a seasonal position that requires availability during the summer months (June to August).
Camp counselors will work closely with other staff members to create a positive and memorable experience for all campers.
