*Job Title:* Junior Explorers Club Assistant
*Hours per week:* FULL TIME/PART TIME Monday - Friday; some Saturdays and Sundays required during peak seasons; position available immediately
*Compensation:* Starting hourly rate negotiable based on experience ($14-$18/hr); use of company vehicles during work hours.
*Reports to: *JEC Director, Charleston Director -Carol Peckham, Owner-Maren Moore
*Primary Objective of Job:* Junior Explorers Club is an indoor & outdoor school age program (ages 5-12) offered at Kids Garden.
The program focuses on after school care, art lab & studio classes and camp adventures when school is out.
We are looking for our next all-in Kids Garden team member whose primary responsibilities are to lead and grow our new Junior Explorers Club program, collaborate with an energetic team of teachers, maintain children enrollment and promote all offerings in the new Kids Garden space.
JEC Assistant will implement daily creative hands-on learning following Art Lab & Studio curriculum and classes, assist in managing the transportation and pick up for Afterschool club both weekly and daily, as well as promote staff and maintain registration processes for Seasonal Camps and Schools Out Camps.

*Job Requirements:*
-Confidence in guiding and leading children's classes and activities.
-Ability to learn and use new technologies
-Must be able to take initiative, be a problem solver and solution innovator
-Must be able to adapt to change quickly and shift gears from one project to another when staffing needs change and capacity of children in the center change
-Must be willing to be hands on and to help in whatever areas the business needs attention
-Must have excellent people and communication skills and be a true advocate for Kids Garden
-Must be able to delegate responsibilities and give feedback to teachers
-Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to follow through
-Must have a reliable vehicle and clean driving record to be able to drive a Mini School bus as needed

-Ability to multitask and jump in wherever help may be needed
-Ability to be on time, self-motivate and work at a steady pace with a positive attitude
-Ability to use and operate Google Tools and Social Media outlets
-Ability to follow directions, multitask and manage one’s schedule efficiently
-Ability to lift, bend, squat, and carry 50# +
-Ability to take instruction from senior team members
-Ability to work long hours with a room full of children
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Ability to communicate with team members and clients effectively and kindly
